Prescott Valley, AZ – David Brown led the way to a shutout against the Fort Worth Brahmas. Brown stopped 29 shots tonight making the final score 4-0.
A familiar face was among the team tonight with the return of Kyle Hood. Hood has always been a fan favorite and a proven goal scorer for the Sundogs. His first night back on the ice he already tallied 2 assists. Jake Hauswirth scored the first goal of the night and the first of his season 16:50 into the 1st period.
Two goals came in the 2nd with Schussler (assists by Schlemko and Nehring) and Larocque (assists by Chipchura and Nehring) each putting up a point. The Sundogs locked in their fourth goal of the evening with 11:10 left in the 3rd. Seconds later Pascal Morency and Stuart Jacobson dropped their gloves. Though Morency was outweighed in the stilt he still managed to take Jacobson to the ice.
Final score was 4-0 with 29-22 shots on goal in favor of Arizona. The Sundogs head on the road to Rapid City where they will meet for the first time this season for a 2-game series.
