Prescott Valley, AZ – The Arizona Sundogs announced today they signed Saskatchewan native Ron Meyers for the 2012-13 Central Hockey League season.
Meyers, the 24-year-old forward joins the Sundogs from the Idaho Steelheads of the ECHL where he played in four games this season and tallied one goal and one assist. He signed with the Steelheads in 2011-12 as a rookie and skated in 12 games and collected three goals and four assists. He will join the Sundogs’ roster which includes two of his former teammates Chad Nehring and Cody Purves.
Prior to turning pro the 5’9”, 170-lb forward spent his collegiate career with the University of Alaska-Fairbanks, where he saw 147 games and had 14 goals and 22 assists.
