Prescott Valley, AZ – The Arizona Sundogs were shutout 5-0 against the Tulsa Oilers Wednesday night at Tim’s Toyota Center. Four first period goals and solid goaltending by Tulsa’s Shane Madolora sealed the contest for the Oilers.
Kyle Bochek tallied the game winning goal for the Oilers 4:51 into the opening period and three minutes later Michel Beausoleil scored a power play goal with assists from Bochek and Jarred Mohr after Sundogs’ Riley Emmerson was issued two minutes for hooking. Powerhouse forward, Ben Gordon posted his 31 goal of the season with 2:47 left in the period and 1:37 later Drew Fisher posted Tulsa’s fourth goal of the first period.
Matt Ambroz notched the Oilers fifth goal of the evening 1:33 into the third with helpers from Fisher and Ryan Barlock.
Andrew Engelage registered the loss for the Sundogs making 25 saves. Arizona outshot Tulsa 34-30. The Sundogs were 0-4 on the power play and the Oilers were 1-3.
