OLYMPIANS AND STATE LEADERS AMONG THE CROWD

Prescott Valley, AZ – The Arizona Sundogs announced today in a press conference held at Tim’s Toyota Center that four Olympians from the 2012 London Games and numerous State Leaders including Andy Tobin will be in attendance during their first home game of the season on October 26, 2012.

Kyle Alcorn, Diego Estrada, David McNeill and Georganne Moline are accomplished athletes on an international level. Their resumes are impressive for such young athletes.

Kyle Alcorn 27, has won three USA Championships and 2 Collegiate Championships and holds the second fastest record in Arizona State University history. He was ranked among the top three athletes in Steeplechase as voted by Track & Field News in 2011.

Diego Estrada 23, the three-time NAU indoor record holder, holds seven All-American awards in both cross country and track and field. Estrada is the first Lumberjack to represent Mexico and first to run in the 10,000 meters in the Olympics.

David McNeill 26, represented Australia at the London Olympics, finishing 29th in the 5,000m in 29:45. He ran at NAU from 2007-10. He was a two-time NCAA Champion and nine-time All-American.

Georganne Moline 22, represented Arizona in the U.S. Olympic Trials in the 400-meter hurdles. In the first round she won her heat with a time of 55.53 and returned for the semifinal and clocked a then-personal best of 54.72. In the final, Moline earned a silver medal with a then-personal best of 54.33 and secured her spot in the 2012 Summer Olympics.

“We are very excited to have such remarkable athletes and athletes that represent our great state of Arizona join us on opening night.” said General Manager Chris Presson.

Numerous State Leaders will be in attendance including Arizona Speaker of the House of Representatives Andy Tobin.

Opening night is Friday, October 26th with the puck set to drop at 7:05pm. Skin Perfection will be sponsoring opening night and will be distributing gift packages valued at $75 to the first 1,000 fans who enter the building. They will also be distributing additional prize packages throughout the evening.
