Eric Lacroix

Owner

Eric Lacroix, 37, is one of two principle owners of the Arizona Sundogs Hockey Club.

A former NHL player and member of the Colorado Avalanche (NHL) front office, Lacroix joined the Avalanche in the role of Assistant Coach, Responsible for Video following his retirement as a player in the summer of 2001. Named to his former post of Director of Hockey Operations during the summer of 2002, he worked closely with the Vice President of Player Personnel in player decisions, player development, scouting, and was highly involved in all facets of the day-to-day functions of the Hockey Operations Department. Currently, Eric serves as Western Pro Scout for the Sundogs' NHL affiliate, the Phoenix Coyotes.

The son of Colorado Avalanche President Pierre Lacroix, Eric was originally drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the sixth round of the 1990 Entry Draft out of Governor Dummer Academy. He played for two seasons at St. Lawrence University before turning pro in 1992 with the St. John’s Maple Leafs (AHL). A regular in the NHL since the 1993-94 season, Lacroix has seen action with the Maple Leafs, Los Angeles Kings, Colorado Avalanche, New York Rangers, and Ottawa Senators. In 472 career NHL games, Eric totaled 67 goals, 70 assists, and 361 penalty minutes. He established career season highs with 18 goals, 18 assists, and 36 points during the 1996-97 season while a member of the Colorado Avalanche.

The Montreal native makes his home in Denver, Arizona with his wife, Jill, son, Max and daughter, Mia.
