Bill Yates joined the Arizona Sundogs as Director of Business Operations on July 29, 2009.
Yates most recently served as President and Alternate Governor for the Mississippi Sea Wolves, formerly of the ECHL, during the 2007-08 and 2008-09 seasons. Prior to joining the Sea Wolves, Yates spent nine seasons in the Central Hockey League, serving as Assistant General Manager for the Corpus Christi Rayz during the 2006-2007 season and Executive Vice President of the Fort Worth Brahmas from 1998 until 2006. While in Fort Worth, Yates was responsible for the management of all aspects of marketing, sales, advertising and sponsorship. Yates also created and oversaw the implementation of numerous community programs. He was instrumental in the creation of the Fort Worth Brahmas Foundation in 2001 which raised nearly $1,000,000 for charity.
Prior to joining the Brahmas, Yates spent time as an Area Operations Manager for IKON Management Solutions and served as the National Marketing Director for Terrific Ticket, Inc. of Houston, Texas. He began his career with the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas as a Sports Program Director and was named the YMCA's Employee of the Year for his development of soccer and baseball programs in the Dallas neighborhood of North Oak Cliff.
Yates and wife, Gigi have three old english sheepdogs.
