Shane Ferraro, 28, is in his fifth season and sixth year with the Arizona Sundogs Hockey Club. In his early efforts with the Team, Shane assisted in the Club's corporate sales department as Coordinator of Corporate Fulfillment before being tabbed as Manager of Public Relations. In his current capacity, Shane directs the Club's public and community relations efforts, serving as Vice President of Communications.

As Vice President of Communications, Ferraro’s responsibilities include acting as primary media contact for the Club, production and design of the Team media guide and game programs, writing and editing of game notes throughout the season, design and maintenance of the Team’s official website, the setup and execution of press conferences and Team special events and coordinating various media and photography requests.

Shane also oversees the Club's community relations efforts and manages the Arizona Sundogs Foundation and its annual 'Team Up For Hope' campaign. For his efforts, Shane was named the 2008 Central Hockey League Communications Executive of the Year and was named a finalist for the award again in 2009 and 2010. The award is presented annually to the Central Hockey League public relations executive who best exemplifies the qualities of excellence and professionalism in the public relations field.

Additionally, Shane supervises the Team’s game operations and broadcast departments.

Shane began his career in sports working as an intern with the Colorado State University Athletic Department, assisting the Assistant Director of Media Relations on the layout and design of team media guides. He also labored as an intern in the Marketing & Public Relations Department at the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland, Colo. His duties included daily marketing and public relations tasks, coordinating various community relations events and assisting with group sales efforts for concerts and events.

Shane attended Colorado State University where he earned his degree in Journalism and Technical Communication with an emphasis in Public Relations.
