Brien Rea

Brien Rea joined the Arizona Sundogs in July of 2011 to oversee the team's broadcasting and communications needs. Along with serving as the team's radio voice, he will also be in charge of the team's media relations, website operation, plus assisting in the team's marketing and graphic design efforts.

Rea (RAY) is a veteran play-by-play broadcaster who's been working in radio since 2004. He's been behind the microphone for more than 300 hockey games in his career.

From 2008 to 2011, Rea was the Director of Broadcasting and Communications for the Odessa Jackalopes of the CHL. Along with his broadcasting duties Rea also expanded his roles into handling the team's marketing and graphic design efforts. In 2011, he was selected to broadcast the CHL All-Star Game on CHL-TV.

His professional career began in 2007 as a member of the CHL's Austin Ice Bats where he served as the team's Director of Broadcasting and Media Relations.

Along the way, Rea also had stints of calling college basketball, minor-league baseball, and arena football. He also spent time working for KMOX Radio in St. Louis, Missouri and WGN Television in Chicago, Illinois.

Rea is a 2005 graduate of Lake Forest College in Chicago, Illinois with a degree in Communications. While in school he served as the radio voice of the Men's Hockey Team for two seasons and also called action for the school's football and softball teams.

He was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri.
